OSU/Texas and OSU/USC were good attempts at this IMO.

That said though... I think I would actually like the idea of a neutral site regular season game if the two schools were close... example... LSU/Texas.

No flame on LSU but I mean this years game with Oregon.. Oregon has to travel over 2000 miles. LSU has to travel less than 500. And yes, Oregon did agree to it, not like they were forced to or anything. That's not what I'm trying to say.

I'm just saying that if the "neutral site" is that close to one school, and that far away from another, why not just have a home and away?

A game like LSU/Oregon is going to be is going to generate a shite ton of media interest no matter where the game is played.

two reasons:

1) may generate more money for the two programs per game played than doing a home/away
2) both programs want to recruit Texas

If the neutral site were in Florida and we were playing Ga Tech I'd still find that interesting (and worth doing to recruit in Florida)

FWIW Dallas at least is a major city that has flights all over the place... it might be a faster trip for them than taking a long bus trip to areas that are physically closer
