Best Mosquito Repellant?

Other than dousing ones self with Off, is there a better mosquito repellant out there?
I boiled crawfish yesterday evening and as soon as it started getting dark, they were swarming everyone. It was definitely the worst I've ever seen them.
All suggestions are welcome. TIA

Without a doubt! Peremthrin 38%. Put 2 oz per gallon of water in a sprayer and spray car port, yard, whatever and you WILL NOT have mosquitos where you sprayed.
When I walk in my yard and get to where I stopped spraying there are mosquitos. It's like an invisible mosquito bar.

Thanks to all for the Thermacell recommendation. Got a unit on the way; we'll see how it stands up to Alaska mosquitoes at our camp sites. If it works it is worth its weight in something very valuable but not quite as valuable as gold is now.

We hit the road June 6 and will reach Alaska in about 2 weeks. We'll spend 2-3 weeks up there and then hit Banff, Glacier, Yellowstone, Jackson Hole, and Rocky Mountain National Park on the way back.

Perfect time, weather should be as nice as it gets up there.
Sounds like a beautiful trip, good luck and take/post pics.

Thermacell is great on mosquitoes but will not work on the black flies you'll have in AK. They may be worse than mosquitoes, and I don't have an answer for the flies. Deet doesn't work well on the flies either.

Thanks for the heads up on the black flies. I have two fall back plans in our inventory:
