Love this show. What about y'all? I think FX has a good thing going.

It seems to be losing a little steam but I like it too. I kinda hope they find a way to write Ed back in. Ed was the black guy who was training him for a while. He was a strong character and I haven't enjoyed the last few episodes as much.

I was going to post a thread about this. Hasn't had too many weekly threads about the episodes.

I enjoy it. Nothing groundbreaking, but there isn't anything else I have to watch on a Tuesday night at 9pm.

I really enjoyed last night's episode. The 4th of July scene was great.

And the David Morse cameo really worked with the episode and the series so far.

I do too. I havent missed an episode but I havent watched last nights yet. Im hoping Lights gets Romeo back. I see this season ending with him getting into the ring with Deathrow but stopping right there!

Last night's episode was really good. I don't like the trainer. He was too over the top. Glad to see him gone and hope he stays gone.

I have a feeling we'll see most of the fight in the last episode, but they won't show us who wins.

It will probably be another split decision like the last Lights-Death Row fight.

And I don't think we'll see Ed Romeo again this season. But I hope he does come back at some point. He's a great character.

Yeah, I like Ed Romeo. The only problem I have with the show is that it seems a bit spastic. Things come up left and right and it seems to be getting a bit contrived. But I loved how he handled the drama in this last episode. Thought it was brilliant.

I have been surprised at how quick things happen in the series. They just started training that Armenian kid, and it seems like the next episode he was fighting. Same thing with Light's most recent fight. Usually shows drag big things like this out.

I'm anticipating us seeing the whole fight, finding out the winner, and then having some sort of surprise after the fight when they end the season.

I read a review this morning that pointed that out. Last night's episode started on July 4 (obviously), and Lights told his wife that the incident with the dentist happened back in March.

So, from March to present (mid-July?), they've trained the Armenian, had that fight, Lights trained and had his first fight back, and is now training for the re-match with Death Row (scheduled for Labor Day).

That seems pretty fast.

I actually meant fast in terms of the season. Like another show might have announced that a guy was scheduled to have a big fight coming up soon on episode 5 and not had the fight until episode 10. Seems like with this show they announce it one episode and have it the next episode without having to draw it out.

But you do bring up a good point about real time, that I had not noticed.

WTF happened to Stacy Keach on this show? He was a huge part of it now he's gone fishing for 4 episodes?

I think some in real life is going on thus some of the patch-work. I dont know why they bring Romeo in for a couple episodes then he's gone. Lights cant catch a fricking break with Johnny. This guy is worst than Pauly!

I like how, once he came clean, Lights' wife and dad stood beside him and gave him straight advice.

I know, me too. That last thing he needed with all the other shite going on, is his wife ragging on him. His brother screws up enough shite.

He's come a long way from his days on the docks, but he's still just a frick-up.

I love the show, hope they bring Romeo back at some point.
