I know most ppl bash Pelicans but right now the 11ft kayak is on sale for 329 at Academy. Seems like a damn good deal. Probably going get one this weekend. Will be my first kayak. That way if I don't like it, oh well.

go for it. its your first one, you probably be thrilled just to be able to get on the water. Thats how I am anyway.
