I don't think so, need a poll for, Rookie salary (yes or No) 16 or 18 games, insurance for fromer player. The NFL is the # 1 sport out there, why try to ruin it. All the owners & Commissioner Roger Goodell are doing is hurting the FANgame. A family of 3 to go to a game cost what around $200?

goodell works for the owners. which side he actually believes is right is irrelevant, he works for the owners, so he must support the owners

I don't think there's really much of a debate here. Rookies need a salary cap to prevent cases like Jamarcus Russell from happening. 35mil to be labeled one of the biggest busts in history.

They have both taken the fans for granted. If you're going to be upset with anyone at the current moment, the players are really fricking up with their PR.

The players desperately need to shut the hell up. They are only hurting their cause by letting AP, etc spout off. Player comments should be limited to Manning, Brees, and Philip fricking Rivers.

Please elaborate this seemingly ridiculous statement.

ever been to an NFL football game?

you don't see families of 4 taking in a football game.

the guy said it costs $200 to take a family to the game. That is ridiculous. Had he not been a bandwagon fan, you can get 1 season ticket FOR THE WHOLE SEASON for $250. Do the math. Some people are clueless.

I blame the players. Football is their job. If they want more money, don't buy 10 mansions. Don't waste all your money. Geez, get an education so that worst case scenario you can get a job.

Agreed.
There has been a lot of over the top exaggerations lately when the talk has turned to the current labor situation.

The truth is neither side is really worried about the fans or little guys like vendors etc.

i have 5 season tickets in section 631 of the dome. I bought them when I was in High School working 10-15 hours a week at Raising Cane's. They were $90 for the whole season in 2006. They are $250/piece now. I sold my 2 extras for the Vikings game and made $600.

How is that not affordable?
