Ott was off tonight, but I think he'll be fine.
Jury is still out on me for Watkins overall (maybe move him out of the lead off spot for a while).
And CPM can bitch slap anyone who says he can't coach with his championship ring

The jacoby bunt call was awful. Other than that, shite happens. We can still take the series.

I think in big time, SEC conference play the stakes are high and the tempers run hot. This isn't some piss ant conference; there's a lot of money, pride, etc. on the line, so emotions get the best of people.

Still don't get why people say this... 1 out runner on third means that a: WP, PB, base hit, sac fly, sac bunt, and maybe even a ground out to the right side score the tying run. Error was very much in execution not in the call

I agree...but I expect the fundamentals of baseball to be instilled in the players. Also, if my batter has 2 strikes...I'm telling him to swing away (defensively)

Because 0 outs; runner on second means that...
- you have three chances to tie the game and put the winning run on base.
- you don't take the bat out of the hands of a .400 hitter when a ground ball to the right side or a deep fly ball has the same effect as a bunt.
- you have a better chance to score two runs instead of one (which is important given the fact that your closer is already out of the game).
With a runner on first, a bunt is absolutely the correct call, but with a runner on second, I think it's just a wasted out.

I mean that's fair, I still think it was the right call, unfortunately JJ did the worst thing possible, bunted it in the air, back when I played baseball (in little league ) a popped up bunt in practice was at least 2 laps

I'm with ya MG...right call or not, Jones has got to get the bunt down. I just felt that letting him swing away gave us a better chance to win, and since I screamed at the TV the first time he squared around, I have to stick to my guns or listening to my wife yell at me for cussing in front of the kids will have been all for naught.
