Can you "downgrade" season tix when renewing?

I have season tix on the east sideline and I'm not into paying the tradition fee on those this year. It seems the instructions to upgrade season tickets is to first renew them (meaning pay the tradition fee) along with a request to move. How does that work if you're wanting to move somewhere with a lower tradition fee?

You could end up with no tickets if you try getting too creative.

you should be able to do that .. but email TAF first and ask for a clarification .. they do have some strange rules ..
