Traffic on I-10 east

Last night traffic was horrible going to the game and I'm sitting in the same thing right now. Anybody knows what the deal is?

I just got a call from someone asking what it was too. I can't tell you what it is, but I can tell you'll be in it all the way until the Highland exit.

Google live traffic says major congestion on east up until the bridge and on nicholson, also an accident on highland

it took me almost 3 hours last Fri to get from Lafayette to Baton Rouge (7 to 10pm)

If you're sitting in traffic coming from Lafayette, you might want to exit at Grosse Tete and take Bayou Rd down through Plaquemine, cross on the ferry there and take Nicholson up to the Box. I'd rather take a much longer route than sit through traffic.
