The whole Nike benefactor to Oregon got me to thinking - anybody know who the richest (Financially speaking) LSU Alumnus is?

How rich are the Penningtons?

No way of really knowing, but Jim Flores has made bundles. Lod Cook has made bundles. The Pennington family made a whole lot. Patrick Taylor was supposedly extremely well off.
And yes, Shaq has been in the league for almost 20 years now and has made millions on millions on endorsements, tv shows, as well as in the NBA.

I really don't think it's Shaq. I remember reading that due to his house payments, home car and life insurance, and all the child support he pays, he blows through over $100,000 a month.

The Blossman family in Covington came to mind also. I don't know where they went to school but they gots all kinds of oil money, and oil money is good money.
