Edit: If the e-mails are real, he deserves to be FIRED, and I think it's possible the NCAA investigation will lead to it.

I figured it would be something like that. Did people think he would be suspended the whole year?

Those are self imposed penalties though, NCAA will investigate further.

I think if they tack on the summer and spring punishments, then it's fair. As OSU communicated to NCAA, the violation was more a matter of indecisiveness "as opposed to blatant disregard of NCAA legislation."

Cowherd somewhat borke this story a week or so ago.

If the allegations are serious enough, Tressel will be out the door. It is interesting that Auburn did not get anything (yet) from the Cam Scam, but OSU could go down and down hard.

Would be better if it was the first 2 conference games, which is similar to Bruce Pearl missing a few conference games as his punishment.
Being out against Akron and Toledo is a joke.

Both Tressel and Pearl should be fired. Lying to the NCAA should be no tolerance imo.

No, I did not. I am purely specualting that any coach, regardless of who it is, that knowingly turned his head on obvious NCAA sanctions would most likely lose their job if allegations became facts.
