Honestly this is my approach. I watch MLS for all of the past, present and future US internationals. For the most part, I'm invested in all of the teams equally.
I chose to actively root for the Whitecaps, because my wife and I honeymooned in Vancouver, and fell in love with the place.
Also, my wife thinks I look like Jay DeMerit, and she finds him (and me, I assume) pretty attractive. Which holds true, because I am in fact, quite striking.

i agree with your wife about jay...on you...i'll have to take your word pumped about opening with rapids. and a little intimidated.
