Take $20 out of each paycheck and put it in a jar now until football season and you have your parking fees.

I know that it is not the money with me, it is the fact that I don't live close to Baton Rouge to go get the pass the night before the game.

Again, take $20 out each paycheck. Most people get paid twice a month. If you get paid once, take out $40 a paycheck. Put it in a jar and set it to the side. By September, you have your parking fees.

No shite. Our economy is shitty and raises aren't coming to keep up with inflation.

You can't tell me though that $20 every two weeks makes or breaks you.

If it does, you need to get a better job and not buy football tickets.

It is about a hour 1/2, but once I get off school and work, that leaves no time to get to Baton Rouge.

This is the most stupid convention of paying to park. The mental midget that thought this up should be brought out of his box for stoning.

My problem with all if this isn't paying to park exactly. We all knew this days was coming, my problem is the way its being done. Selling passes the night before and on game day is down right stupid and who every came up with this is a complete fricking moron. Can you imagine the clusterfrick campus will be on game day with ppl having to buy passes? Atleast allow season ticket holders to buy passes to each game before the season.

Completely agree. You should be able to buy season parking spaces and season ticket holders should get first pick.

...talk about missing the point. People who are complaining are not literally trying to figure out how to come up with the money.

They don't think that what they are getting is worth the money. They don't like paying $40 to walk a mile to the stadium. And, they don't like what the fee is going to do to the tailgating experience.

For us, $90 a week just for the trailer and truck pulling it is a pretty significant expense...then the other 7 of us need to park as well. We aren't all going to pay $40 a week. I can guarantee that. We are one of many. You can imagine what is going to happen.

The loss of convenience is also a huge factor in this. Assuming the other cars in the tailgate do not have a parking pass (safe bet) now we need to get all of the food, beer, etc. on campus somehow. Now we have to coordinate the 8 of us who split the shopping duties and organize everything ahead of time. Plus we have to get the parking pass every week.

Interestingly enough, we haven't decided to continue yet. I suspect we will, but we will see.
