Question about Georgetown and Cal ?

I was wondering why they use the Jordan Jumpman logo on their basketball uniforms and gear. Does anyone know...it would make sense if say UNC had the jumpman logo but I always was wondering why they had it

UNC had it on their uni's for a long time, and they might still have it. St. Johns also uses the jumpman logo. Can't seem to find a definitive answer as to why these select schools are sponsored by him.

UNC still has it. I think Cincinnati has it as well. No idea why though.

you realize the Jordan brand makes apparel also right? That's who they're outfitted by. Marquette was outfitted by Converse until Wade switched to Jordan brand and now they're outfitted by Jordan brand.
your own school was outfitted by the Lebron brand up until this year. See the logo on the pants?

It's just a division of Nike and they select who wear that brand, with MJ and Falk.
NC A&T
Cincy
Cal
Georgetown
UNC
It used to be on jumpman23.com the complete list.

Why would Georgetown ever agree to this?

Why don't you ask Thompson who wore Nike ever before North Carolina did?

Not Nike, but the Jordan logo. Seems idiotic to wear a logo of a guy who beat you in the national championship.

Jumpan is Nike and Thompson coached Jordan. To me it's an honor. Actually it was Worthy that sealed the game not Jordan. It wasn't like Mike hit a buzzer beater.
Sleepy Floyd threw the pass to Worthy. Georgetown supposedly wore white all weekend for starters in practice.

I know that OSU used to wear the Lebron logo on their uniform, that can be explained since he is a big time OSU fan and an Ohio guy however once he bailed on the state we removed his logo. Its still on the warmups but not the jersey. But we were the only school. I dont understand why certain schools like G-town and Cal have the Jumpman logo , what is their connection , why not the regular nike swoosh

Does LeBron cheer for OSU or Kentucky?
Seems to be the one guy who didn't really hit it off with K on the Olympic team, unlike Melo, Durant, Rose, and of course, Kobe.

There's some high schools that are Jordan sponsored as well. I'm not sure why

I'm not positive, but I think St. John's went back to the regular Nike logo. I know they used to have the Jumpman logo, but I think they switched back for whatever reason.

The Jumpman brand is a seperate spinoff of Nike.
