sounds like you must be too young to remember Davis. He shared carries with Shyrone Carey, Deverey Henderson, and LaBrandon Toefield. Not to mention the 11 game schedule was still in effect.

i'm 26. i remember davis very well. he was a backup to toefield until his senior season. that should tell you something. and no, he didn't share many carries with shyrone carey. carey didn't come around really until 2003 when davis was already gone. carey was a freshman when davis was a senior. davis was a solid back, no doubt, but no he was not the best lsu had in the decade, and quite frankly maybe not even in the top 5
