He's been playing in a high school baseball tournament in Lafayette the last two days and has gone off. I think he has yet to get out in 8 plate appearance with 3 homeruns. Not to mention he dominated on the mound. Several scouts have been at the games, and I can tell you his stock is rising. A friend of mine talked with a scout, and he believes Magee will go in the top 15 rounds.

I have a feeling this dude is going to come here no matter what. Unless it's like crazy 1st round money thrown at him.

The kid would be smart to consider baseball. They don't make athletes like him on the baseball field. Plus he is not a very big kid. It's not like the NFL is looking for a bunch of undersized running backs.

If he graduates LSU at about 5'9 220, He will be perfect for the NFL. Dunno what you mean. Ingram is 5'9 also BTW.

Great info Enfuego. If he really is that good of a baseball prospect and a team likes him enough to give him a reasonable offer I wouldn't blame him one bit if he signs it. Baseball may be the hardest sport to make it to the highest level in but he would have to make that decision: football or baseball? I'd love to have him here, even for both, but if he loves baseball more and gets that chance, it would be hard to pass it up

He had another good day yesterday... I talked to some of the franklinton parents, and they all basically said "if he gets a decent amount of money, he's going pro."

If he was half as good a baseball player as people are trying to make him out to be, Mainieri would have been all over him.He will be at LSU this fall.

Maybe Mainieri isnt too concerned considering he's already signed to LSU? Not like Mainieri heavily recruited Ware, Ware wasn't expected to be on the team for sure.

This is the first mention I've heard of him taking money and running. I don't see it happening.

Well.....I have......this year and we completely shut him down and scored some runs on him when he pitched the two innings as well.

Good speed but did not even attempt to steal 2nd Base after walking twice. IMO, he's very raw on a baseball field and would need some serious instruction. Just don't see him going very early in MLB draft.....unless they are basing it on potential.

I agree with you but sadly the baseball draft 75% potential. I still don't think he plays baseball at the next level. Our team had depth at all positions and I dont see a kid playing 2 sports unless he has a real shot to start or play a lot.

Supposedly Mainieri has told him he has a spot on the baseball team.
