Really liked it when I was a kid, though I'm sure I didn't get most of the jokes.

I was in The Toy with Pryor, on set the entire shoot, and there were several scenes that ended up on the cutting-room floor, that were pure comic genius. For instance, when Eric first sees Jack Brown (Pryor) in the store, Pryor did an entire ad-libbed sequence with a vacuum cleaner, knocking over and destroying the department store.
I was a kid at the time, and didn't know about the prior (no pun intended) drug use problem by him, but he was always incredibly nice to me and Scottie - we had an awesome time with him. No cursing, nothing, just pure, clean fun. I always felt horrible when I saw how his condition went down in the end.

In the opening scene of The Toy in the department store, do you happen to remember if the Houston Oilers jersey on the mannequin was wearing Kenny Stabler's #12 or who's it was?

Like alot of really great talent, its gone way too early. Pryor, early Eddie Murphy, Carlin, none of these young guys can come close to their stuff

Don't remember - I'd have to go back and check.
I checked - it was a #12 Oilers jersey.

Ha Ha. I was 17 at this point, not quite old enough to go to 2010 or other drinking clubs. Do you remember Disco Inferno? Thats some funny shite when you think back to that time.
