Sheadixon Shea Dixon What's up w #LSU commit Avery Johnson these days? @LauraMcKeeman caught up w him to talk the Tigers and others - LINK

Sheadixon Shea Dixon Yes, I think Avery sticks to his pledge to #LSU even though he will take visits. Miles is often lax on the no-visit policy. Case-by-case.

I will go insane if he goes to Auburn.

Lee is something else. Here's the quotes:

"I'm feeling real good about LSU like always. I talk to coaches there like every day and I just love it there. I fell in love with LSU after going to all my brother's games. There's no place like it," Johnson said.

"I'm committed to LSU but I'm trying to give every school a good chance and make sure I know what everyone has to offer. I talked to coach (Will) Muschamp today and we had a great talk. I like him. I also talked to coach (Aubrey) Hill and they want me to come for a visit for sure. They also want me to come to their school though too."

"I like FSU a lot and some of my friends do too. They are doing all this stuff with recruiting and getting their swag back for sure. Then I also like North Carolina. There's just something about it that catches my attention so I want to visit there. Auburn is another one too that I'm looking at."

"He's real supportive if I go to LSU or anywhere else. I think I'll still be a Tiger like him but we will see how it all plays out." In reference to Patrick.

Are you really going by anything that Jeffrey Lee says? He's at the level of Bleacher Report. He had Collins at 75% even after he had numerous interviews saying how there was no way in hell he was going anywhere else.

The guy is an idiot, has barely any sources, and only looks at selling subscriptions for crappy information.

As for Avery, he just wants to enjoy his visits. The kid has been recruiting for LSU since last year, I have no worries about him

Jeff Lee= complete joke as a journalist or wanna be journalist

Also we have a year in this process, so he will take visits, there will be rumors, but as long as we take care of business on the field LSU will be fine.

He will take visits, and just like every other OOS recruit we will sweat it out. It's just how recruiting is. People will publish rumors and such and alot of people will freak out blah blah blah...just get used to it, it happens every year.

Anyone trying to pry him from LSU is in for a mountain to climb....close to a 90 degree mountain.

My only question is, Can he help the basketball team ?

Is that assuming Trent will release someone from their scholarship next year?

Max, this isn't Lee, but they pretty much take whatever he says as the gospel. Pretty much the only thing Auburn Eagle is good for is a good laugh now and then.

Here's what he (Avery not Jeff Lee) actually said:

quote:

"I was waiting on the Auburn offer for awhile," Johnson said. "(Former Auburn cornerback) Walter McFadden is my cousin, and he used to play there. When I was younger, I used to want to go to Auburn. He would show me stuff on the internet about Tiger Walk and all that stuff they do before the game, and I was like, 'I want to go to Auburn'.

"They just won the national championship, I'm impressed with that. They just had a great recruiting class. I was impressed with Darvin Adams last year, they threw the ball, I love the offense, I love coach (Gus) Malzahn. I just really like Auburn, that will definitely be one of my visits I take."

With Auburn losing their top two senior receivers, plus their top target going pro in Adams, playing time is something that Johnson said is a favorable situation at Auburn. Johnson is committed to LSU, but does have a top five overall that consists of LSU, Auburn, Alabama, Florida, and North Carolina.

That aside, everyone still thinks he's LSU's to lose by a mile. It will help that we wont be fighting all of the instate pressure that Louisianans can produce.
