I don't give a shite who the QB is as long as the QB playing the best is on the field. That didn't happen last year.
That said, I fully expect Mettenberger to get the majority of snaps. I have no doubt he will be the most talented QB on the field for LSU this fall.

It would be good if things would take a more natural progression. Either Mett shows he is the best before the first game, or when he is ready he takes over at that point in the season.
For Mett not to show his superiority is not in our best interests. If JJ starts, remains the starter, and finishes the season clearly ahead of Mett, then we know we don't have in Mett what we thought we had.
That's the arguement! The fact that JJ and JL are not top tier caliber QBs has been proven. So threads like this are missing the point entirely.
