that whoever starts at QB STAYS at QB!!!

all this talk of JJ losing out to Mett bothers me, because I fully expect JJ to be the starter against Oregon and if he is pulled because Mett "beats him out" then that means we most likely lost a game...I am as passionate about LSU as anybody, but I've never seen so many people want a college kid to fail for the team they are pulling for so much in my life...

...whoever starts in the first game whether that be JJ or Mett, cheer your arse off for that guy and wish him the best!!! I swear if I hear some ignorant fan (who most likely never set foot in an LSU classroom) scream at JJ for the first bad pass he throws, I may bitch slap their arse...

...that's my RANT

JJ needed to be replaced in our first 5 games this year

but we still WON all 5 of those games

if you have a good defense and a solid running game, you can still have a terrible quarterback and win a game.

My real concern is that if JJ is starting against Oregon that means that:

a) Miles is refusing to give anyone else a shot, or

b) Jefferson is really the best QB out of the 3, and that is scary

Edited because some people get incredibly offended when you misspell a word that has nothing to do with your post.

against a shitty team, yes.

as long as we dont try to use a 2 QB system, i'll be fine. theres a reason no one else tries it. it doesnt work.

HeyOhhhh, I hate to tell you this but just because a person steps foot in an LSU classroom does not give them more insight or knowledge into the game of football.

I, much like you, hope the best QB wins the competition in Spring practice.

I agree...that's my point!

Why would you be "excited" if the guy who starts the year at QB doesn't end the year at QB...probably means the offensive production is in the shitcan!!

...2 QB system is terrible!!

...sure, let's run a juco transfer our their with no SEC experience, when we have a guy that led his team to 11 wins and and finished 8th in the nation with a "senior leader" at receiver who's DRAFT STOCK WENT TO HELL because he all of a sudden CAN'T CATCH!! Tolliver disappointed me a heck of alot more than jj did...just sayin

...don't get your hopes up for Mett to start...support JJ and hopes is starts the first game he start the last game in the BCSNCG!!!

If the JUCO QB is better in Spring Practice than JJ, I have no problem playing him.

I understand our record this past season. With a better QB, maybe it would have been even better than it was. JJ did make plays that others might not, especially in the bowl game. I do find it alarming that he almost tied his season total of TD's in that one game. However, it is possible that JJ has turned the corner now.

Spring - let's wait and see.

Id love it if this is the case, but we've been waiting for him to "arrive" for a few years now and he's done anything but that.

Until he proves that he can play well in games where he doesnt have at least 2 weeks to prepare, im still gonna be worried about the state of our team and wont feel guilty at all about calling for the next guy in line. (that being said, i dont boo. ever.)

like Llama said, with a bad QB we can still win against shitty teams, but hopefully if he's that bad against shitty teams we see what another QB can do.

we won in spite of our QB play. not b/c of it. did you even watch the games? our QB play was awful. defense and special teams won 11 games. with decent QB play we win 14 games

and mett isnt some true frosh. hes had a redshirt year and 1 year of juco ball where he dominated. the last 2 NC teams both had a first year QB. i believe they both won the SEC, too.

I cheer for JJ, but he shouldn't be our starter, and probably should have never been the starter. I am not pulling against him, but I damn sure won't say that I agree with him starting for LSU.

My apologies if that hurts your feelings.

Obviously you weren't around during the Charlie Mac days,...LSU always played two qb's...even Bert Jones NEVER played an entire game....let the coach's coach..and the rest of you...STFU....

Yeah because that did not work for Auburn.

I am not advocating that, but let's let the competition play out.
