Want to know why LSU oversigned last year? Because they believed Brad Wing would not qualify. Want to know why they thought that? Because the NCAA friggin' told LSU he wouldn't qualify.
LSU told Wing ahead of time they didn't think they could get his transcripts cleared "in time". Wing & his parents got it done on their own dime. Then, LSU's Admissiosn Office told him he needed a different visa to get into school. Austrailia will not issue that one anywhere but on Austrailian soil, so he actually flew all the way to Austrailia, got it done, & then flew all the way back.
LSU jacked up the Wing/Porter situation. You always prepare for potential problems, & them not getting out in front of this one months before with a frank, honest discussion is a tail that can only be pinned on one donkey: Les Miles.
He honestly dropped the ball there. Which is strange, because between Sam Nader & the Eligibility Center (formerly known as the NCAA Clearinghouse), LSU has a pretty good relationship & track record in getting kids in quickly & finding out what they need.

While Les does take responsibility for his program, there are several layers of administrative personnel between the head coach of an SEC school and the prosepective student athlete when it comes to qualifying admisssions.
There were multiple people who slipped up in both those cases and it fellin Les' lap. Same thing has happened at a hundred other schools in the last ten years. Unfortunate but predictable, given the tons of redtape that folks have to sort through in this process.

If Les did Porter so wrong why is the kid back?
I don't know the truth but seems like Porter is okay with LSU

Wow. Where do you get that info?
