In all honesty, there is not a whole lot of difference between a Top 1 to Top 10 ranking. LSU's coaching staff has done a really good job of filling needs and that is all that matters. Recruiting is not an exact science anyway. I went back about a decade looking at LSU's classes on Rivals the other day and was mildly surprised to see all the 5 star players that did not pan out and all the 3 and 4 star players that had productive careers, many of which are now in the NFL. As long as we're around a Top 10 recruiting class I'm very happy!

agree-----i plan on averaging our class ranking from espn, rivals, scout, 24/7, and maxpreps and the true recruiting analysis will probably fall somewhere in the middle.

there has never been truer words spoken about recruiting. ranking 16 and 17 year olds is iffy at best. if the measureables are there they may be great or they may be a bust. you really can't measure desire, heart, motivation, persaverance (sp) or determination. higher rated classes tend to have better players as a class.
