It's not just the pitching. LSU only had 7 guys last season with at least 2 AB per game...

Micah Gibbs, .388, 10 HR
Blake Dean, .341, 12 HR
Leon Landry, .338, 6 HR
Mikie Mahtook, .335, 14 HR
Tyler Hanover, .332, 2 HR
Austin Nola, .320, 5 HR

Matt Gaudet, .283, 19 HR

and then next in line with 123 AB...

Trey Watkins, .268, 2 HR

Gibbs, Dean, Landry, & Gaudet are all gone, which doesn't leave us with a whole lot coming back.

The lineup will have these 4 as the main guys...

Mikie Mahtook, .335, 14 HR
Tyler Hanover, .332, 2 HR
Austin Nola, .320, 5 HR
Trey Watkins, .268, 2 HR

... plus these guys who will likely come off the bench (with maybe Edward as a starter)...

Mason Katz, .318, 0 HR
Alex Edward, .314, 2 HR
Grant Dozar, .277, 1 HR
Beau Didier, .222, 0 HR

... plus these new guys who will hopefully add some pop...

#23, JaCoby Jones, INF
#26, Tyler Ross, C
#17, Jimmy Dykstra, RHP/OF
#4, Raph Rhymes, INF
#41, Kirk Cunningham, RHP/INF
#14, Mike Lowery, INF

Looks dicey.

With 6 new pitchers who were recently drafted however (Gausman, Eades, Jones, Dykstra, Garrett, & Hopkins), I'm not all that concerned with the pitching staff, provided that Alsup, Ott, Bradshaw, Bourgeois, & Rittiner, do a little better this year.
