No smoke in him coming to LSU. I would suggest not getting your hopes up. If that was true, something would have leaked by now.

I agree with the no smoke, but the fact remains that we will accept his commitment regardless if we're full/it's a surprise/we have to deny someone else.

We theoretically have two spots left, and with Rasco a probable, and the fact Mickey Johnson hasn't committed gives me some hope that the staff is waiting it out to see if Drew follows through. But who knows, you might be right.

I personally have no idea where Drew will end up, but I will tell you right now there are way too many true insiders to the UGA program who are quite content right now for Drew to not be 99.9% likely to commit to UGA. Not just the ones that usually crow about knowing more than others, but ones that have proven to have good sources time and again.

I think Rasco is ours regardless.
I am curious as to why Haley visited Drew?
Any Theories?
I know Haley and Drew have a good bond maybe Drew just wanted to personally tell him that he is not coming to LSU.

I don't think LSU is holding off Rasco for Drew...

I here you guys,...I want Rasco,...but I would love me some DREW as well

Why would he let/make a coach fly to come see him just to say, I am not committing to you? You can say that over the phone.
Somethings up, told everyone else to not come, but Brick goes. Hmmmm,...I can still dream

This is so, So. The conventional thinking has been Georgia for a long time. Who knows, though, when Georgia asked him to play linebacker, when he clearly wants to play with his "hand in the dirt?" He said he has to consider what's best for him academically and football-wise and playing linebacker doesn't seem to be what he considers best for him. That fact alone is worth more than a 0.1% chance. He may choose Georgia tomorrow, but he won't be 99.9% happy about it.

Drew not planning to see any more coaches

DE Ray Drew of Thomasville, GA met with LSU recruiter Brick Haley Wednesday and that probably will be the final meeting he has with a coach before he announces Friday morning at 10:00 AM. "I want a little time to breathe," said Drew who has confirmed he has made his decision. Clemson coach Dabo Swinney had planned to make an in home visit but...

all of these quotes tell me at the least that LSU has done a magnificent job recruiting Drew, mainly brick. It tells me he has a lot of respect for our school and football program as well. It's the same reason you see LSU's hat on a majority of recruits' tables, and "he chose this school over LSU.....etc." even if we weren't known to be recruiting the kid. Yes, most likely tomorrow he will be announcing UGA, but the fact that we are sitting pretty with 21 commits, and in on some BIG OOS recruits is just exciting even if I'm pretty sure he'll announce for someone else. We don't need the number 1 class every year if we get in the top 5 every year by just filling our needs, that's what I like about our class.

Except Drew has said he's had his decision made mid last week, so I have to think Haley wanted to throw one final pitch at him or ask him if LSU really had a shot. By the way, that article is germans

i wonder if this is due to pressure Brick Haley may have put on him? ..sounds smothered, as opposed to having made up his mind.

i think hes done that long ago.

I'm sure you guys heard the rumor that when he left Baton Rouge that he said he would play the "game" and sign with LSU, in the end. Wanted it to be a surprise. Thought that had long passed his mind, after all the fishing trips and bible study with Richt. Doubt he would honor that premise, but it would be epic if he flipped it like he once stated he would.
