Who is it going to be? Baker? Minter? Francois? Barrow? The one white guy?

Hatcher might be moving down or one DB Miles mentioned was moving down

Baker probably moves to middle and Barrow would take outside or possibly Maclin unless they want him as DE

Hatcher can't cover anyone so that's probably a good move. Let's just make sure he doesn't knock our defensive linemen out by accident.

Isn't Baker too small.
I thought Minter would take over MlB.

i thought it was Baker, Minter, and Francois. but i guess if one of the DBs moves up to LB they could take a spot. otherwise i'm pretty sure that's it.

that being said i hope these youngsters can pick up their game quick because this is a weak spot for us.

I think moving Hatcher to LB would be a great move.

WLB: Baker
MLB: Minter
SLB: Francois

2nd group
WLB: Barrow
MLB: Muncie
SLB: Jones

Welter, Randle, Johns, and Hatcher (?) could all get reps.

The thing about Hatcher, the guy can hit. He learns to wrap up, and he can really contribute at LB.

I think we will be fine at LB. Chavis knows how to coach these guys and we actually have a ton of different guys that have the potential to really progress and step up.

He can't tackle either. Masoli got away from him easily. Wait, he did a good job tackling his own DB's on that other busted play against Ole Miss.

Best place for him is the bench.

DJ Welter should be coming along.

I don't get posts like this sometimes. The dude had one bad game (albeit a memorable one). He's been solid since his freshman year in spot duty at safety and on special teams. Cut the guy a little slack. I guarantee you no one feels worse than him for getting burned.

this is Francios problem as well..

Maclin unless they want him as DE
already moved to DE

hear is what I've heard...

Baker may or may not move to the middle depending upon Mintor's development (mental) with Welter being the 2nd or 3rd guy

if Minter comes along as expected he will play MIKE and Baker will be the WILL backer

if not look for Baker to move to the middle and the MIKE position will be between Muncie, Barrow and Randle in no certain order...Barrow being the leading prospect just because of PT there last year.

SAM backer.. here is what i was told..if Johns had not gotten hurt he would have gotten a more serious look there and may have started by the end of the season and that he is the best cover backer they have. Johns would have been ahead of Tahj because Tahj has not crossed the 200lbs threshold..Francios was just "not active" as a linebacker and out of position a lot!

I think Barrow is going to take Minter's spot, IMO.

Welter is not being mentioned when he will have the biggest impact of the ones who haven't played

they also listed him at that when he reported as a freshman and he was lucky to be 190...
