The biggest draft QB bust is not J. Russel or Ryan Leaf. It is Matt Lienart. Russel and Ryan at least played for a season or multiple seasons. Heath Shuler was also a bigger disaster than Leaf and Russel. Get it right please.

Pretty stupid comment by OP.... Leinart has not been great, or maybe good... but he really hasn't had much of a chance. I grew up in AZ and am (unfortunately) a Cardinals fan... as soon as Wisenhunt came it it was clear he did not like Leinart.
Leinart had a decent/good rookie year, and was then supplanted by a HOF quarterback. The situation was not optimal, and when he opened his mouth that it was personal he was just cut. He still has a chance to go out and find a starting job, and it is possible he will find one and turn out to be a decent QB. Unfortunately he is currently behind another very good QB, but probably he'll be traded or re-sign with so many teams needing help at that position. Again, as others have said, he was 10th in the draft, and wasn't even the first QB taken that year... I would agree "disappointing" is appropriate but not "bust". No way.
Russell is the biggest bust, IMHO. He was the first pick in the draft- which is not usually reserved for needs by any team, but for the best overall athlete. Leaf cannot claim that. And he's been terrible. And he's not even playing anymore, so he's done. As things stand, Leinart is still an NFL football player, and Russell is just a fat unemplyment benefit recipient.
