warren injury and turner being out changes everything. derenbecker is a potential solid player however yesterday he was one of main scoring options and he did as good as you can expect. defense leaned on derenbecker and stringer with turner being out. have to find a better back up than bass he is no threat to score and opponents are aware. green would be a good 6th man where he could play more agressive with fewer minutes. dotson is a joke adds nothing and was over rated recruit. put courtney in rotation looked decent in short playing time. i enjoyed the game good halftime tribute. brought father to game even though 6 hour round trip. cannot understand why locals do not fill up gym.

Warren regardless of health for whatever reason still can't put up shots right underneath the basket.

Because all they can do is bitch. Most of the people that bitch never attend games.People bitched about Brady and TJ comes in and wins SEC Championship.TJ is in rebuilding situation at LSU and it will take two more years to turn everything around.

Even though Brady divided the fanbase into two equal parts: those that liked him and those that didn't, there was still a large part that liked him and disagreed with his firing. Bring in beginner's luck LSU coach TJ and he looks promising as hell his first season. All the Brady haters were beating out their chest and making noise saying "see!?"

Well, TAF raises prices and does all kind of construction to fancy things up, and voila, you have the worst LSU basketball I've ever seen in my 37 years. Even under the absolute worst years of Dale Brown and John Brady.

So, people are fed up with the whole thing and I wouldn't be at all surprised if people start dumping season tickets after this season.

When I was a freshman living in South Stadium during the fall of 1986, we attended quite a few basketball games at the beginning of the season. I know that you all remember the team, its accomplishments, and potential. At any rate, the games seemed pretty sparsely attended to me back then - particularly the student section. By the time I graduated (1990), the place was rockin' more, but it seemed to fluctuate. I guess my point is that if this team starts winning more, and I suspect they will given their youth, then the fans will come out. Also, I guess the good ole days weren't always that good.

I was fortunate enough to attend every home game in the 80/81 season. The Assembly Center was packed for every game and freakin rockin. LSU was feared and respected. Don't know why we can't get it back.

Damn I miss those days.

Y'all are right what was I thinking? TJ is a great coach and he's made me proud when it comes to LSU basketball. Love losing to North Texas and Nicholls State all while giving up my seats to an embarssing student section (all 10 that show up) and paying more money to boot.

TJ is a phenomenal coach.

Yeah, and my memory was from the fall semester (I remeber who stopped by my dorm room to ask me to go), so the attendance probably picked up quite a bit by the time we got to the sec schedule, but I don't remember as well those games.

Perhaps an uncertain economy and a poor product are two of the reasons. People are being more selective in how they distribute their discretionary funds these days.

As was the case for most of the 80's as well.

nothing like ignoring any point made and acting like a douchebag. For being around in the 80's, you sure know how to act like a 2 year old.

TJ has a good coaching record at Nevada and Stanford. He has shown at LSU that he can win with talent, and he has also shown that he knows how to recruit. He may not be a phenomenal coach, but I don't think he has succeeded everywhere he has been while not knowing how to coach. That is what gives me patience, I knew LSU was going to be garbage this year and we were starting walk-ons last year. This is a team that cannot afford ANY injuries, yet we have been plagued by them so far.

Yeah, I didn't attend that one, and therefore can't comment on my recall of the attendance.
