I just read an article that said Miles was not seeking for the offensive coordinator position an individual whose main strength was calling plays. He wanted the coach to be more of a quarterbacks coach than a coordinator.

Does anyone else think something is wrong with that? Why doesn't he just hire a god damn quarterback coach and an offensive coordinator? It doesn't seem that difficult to me.

If it's staff limitations then get rid of Ensminger and have Stud and Gonzales coach TE's too. I don't have a problem with Kragthorpe but I flat out don't understand why LSU can't have both a guy who is really good at coach QB's and a guy who is really good at calling plays.

If someone does, please enlighten me because it's giving me a headache.

Where the hell did you read that from? If that is true, that is very scary. Means most likely it confirms what some people fear, Miles wanted a weak OC he can control and dip into the play calling constantly...

How about a link for that quote you are attributing to Miles? Sounds to me like you put your spin on Miles comments.

It's simple math. The NCAA allows only a certain number of coaches on a staff. LSU only had one opening hence the reason for one that can do both. It's not like the NFL where you can have all you want.

There definitely seems to be an emphasis on getting someone good with QB's, but I'm not seeing anything saying it was done so at the expense of offensive coordination.

If anything it was probably another way of Miles saying he doesn't want a Crowton-like OC that has a million plays and tries to do much. Just someone fundamental that can help our QB's.

Considering Miles won't outright fire people, do you really think he will let a coach go that he thinks is performing fine to make room for another one? I doubt it.

Kragthorpe is good at developing QB's, recruiting, and play calling on game day!

give it a rest...this hire fit the bill!! Relax, enjoy life!

That's bs what you are saying. It's called taking miles comments out of context.
