Kragthorpe and Steven Rivers

I am more excited about Kragthorpe when it comes to developing Steven Rivers and his funky throwing motion. I believe he will help make rivers into a solid QB for the future. Maybe even better.

His older brother Phillip has an awkward throwing motion that the OC at NC State tried to tweak. It was a disaster and he went right back to the delivery that he had before. The rest is history. Point being is Kragthorpe might want to leave Rivers delivery alone...

No one has had his throwing motion altered more than Cam Newton. They had him work on footwork and lowering his left shoulder to prevent his passes from sailing.
Vince young has one of those funky throwing motions but VY does not have the intelligence to run a pro offense and panics in the pocket. They tried to alter his motions but as VY said himself...."ain't nobody gonna tell me nothing" (60 Minutes interview). Now refers to himself as n "elite NFL QB"...
The Tebow experiment was not successful either.

I would not be suprised if this hire has been in the works for the last three months. River's commitment seemed strange and then Mett with no problem. They both knew coach K would be hired and his rep for developing QBs was probably a big reason for the commit. One from alabama/CA and the other KS/GA.

The Tebow experiment is ongoing and more of where he starts his motion. If you watched him at all you will notice he holds the ball much higher and doesn't throw like he is throwing a baseball as much.

He still throws the exact same way. Even after all of those televised "workouts" on ESPN.

I don't know about Mett but Steven played right up the road from me & with proper coaching could be a great player. I would not change his throwing motion as Phillip has done well in the pro's. They both have a weird throwing motion but the ball gets there.

Moffit + Kragthorpe are going to be what determines just how well Rivers develops. He needs to put on some weight and muscle in the next 3 years (which i don't see them having any problem doing) and I think with that span of time he will be very successful when his number is called to start.

I am not sure about that. Obtaining Mett is similar to having a matt fynn as far as mechanical training and experience. I am not sure that GC was out the door yet. And we will never know, but GC and mett could have had good success together. But, Miles is thinking long term develpment with Kragthorpe.
And, peopleschamp, i am bias, but try to be objective. Most of the time it doesnt work.

What's amazing, is how Kragthorpe managed to take Briam Brohn (preseason #8 pick) to a third round pick in just one year. Now that's what I call "coaching up".

Yeah because preseason draft rankings are NEVER wrong. Great reasoning.
