Pistol Pete did not shoot over 90% from the foul line for his career at LSU.
His free throw percentages were:
Fr 83%
Soph 81%
Jr 75%
Sr 78%
But he was the greatest ball handler and passer this game has ever seen. And as being named one of the NBA's 50 greatest players, he is the only one of those 50 who would have been even better in today's modern game. He was literally 40 years ahead of his time. Also, if there had been a 3 pt shot during his career at LSU, his scoring average would have been an astonding 57 pts per game !!
