I'll have to check out that carrot cake. On a related note Cafe Dominique in Houma had this dessert once which was really simple but ridiculously awesome. Just a piece of carrot cake paired with some creole cream cheese ice cream. It's a really great combination.

I have had that at a couple of places here...dominique's sister restaurant here is one of them (Martinique)...coquette had it the week they opened and I went as well...great combo.
