Gonna be tough to do. I foresee a slight drop in our D next year but an increase from our O to offset this.

Our secondary will be really strong next year even with PP gone.

Montgomery back on the D line will help

If our LB corps can step up we'll be fine on defense and possibly better than this year

Sheppard is the biggest loss. As great as they are, LSU has replacements for the other 2.

I disagree. Our defensive line depth is great. I see improvement and better depth.

LB's ? might be the biggest concern. As nuts as it sounds, Im least worried about replacing PP.

This. He was a rare leader. Most teams don't have a guy like that. i hope he comes back to LSU eventually and gets ino coaching.

I have zero worries regarding either the DB's or the DL. I think we'll be improved in both areas, despite the losses of both PP7 and Drake Nevis.

LB's will not be as good, period. Sheppard will be impossible to replace this season. I'm hoping the average play of the LB's improves overall, but no way we get someone to step up and have a season like Sheppard had individually.

It will still be a very good defense overall, and with a bigger DL, hopefully we improve our run defense from last year.

THIS!

TM14 will be the next PP7 (maybe)

Our D-Line will be fine, but replacing Sheppard will be a task in itself.

I say move Karnell Hatcher to LB because he's kind of like Harry Coleman except not as good.

Idk who can play Mike though...Ryan Baker?

and put Hatcher and Francois and the Sam and Will?

I think our defense will be fine...so many young guys stepped up this year...Anthony johnson could made a impact right away...if we get clowney or Jernigan watch out

And I am not as concerned with replacing SHep's physical ability, as I am about replacing his brain. I know it is hard to believe, but he was like a coach on the field.

Crazy as this sounds I think that from a defensive prospective, Pp7 will be the easiest to replace. Whete we'll really miss gim is on kick returns. The DBs are so deep. Shep will be very hard to replace because he was like a defensive QB.

Minter will play Mike. I think if they were going to switch Hatcher, they would have done it before this past season.

Eh, that will be a huge flaw. Unless Minter is pretty good...but he has no exp yet so I'm sure we will be able to tell.

I think the Mike position and the staffing of it will be key to the D. Need that smart leader/playcaller.
