2011 Linebacker Position

Now that Miles is back and recruiting still has weeks to go, how 'bout we talk a little actual football.
I think if you pick an area of the defense that has some holes, most would pick linebacker. It's also a position near and dear to my heart so I want to talk about it.
I would guess that going into camp, the starters will be:
Mike--Minter
Will--Baker
Sam--Francois
Barrow has experience playng Will (I think he started there v. UNC). The rest of our LBs are inexperienced. And most of them look to be OLBs. Here are my questions for the Board (particularly for people who get to see practice).
What is the likely two-deep? In particular, who is Minter's likely backup?
Is Justin Maclin staying at DE or will they move him back? Seems to me that we're in good shape at DE, particularly if some of the recruits left on our board sign with us. Seems like Maclin could be of use at LB. But I haven't seen him in practice.
Any of the RBs likely to move to LB? Or any of the safeties?

I think Barrow may give Francois a run. And Blue might make the move.
ETA: there's always talk of Loston to LB but I don't see it

That would be Ware that ran against aTm

I'd like to see someone step up at Sam. Francois wasn't a factor at all this year. I'm all for Blue moving to LB but I don't see it happening.

Huh?? Spencer Ware

Francois starting is very underwhelming. Was he even on the field last year? He was non-existent. Maybe a year into a new position he'll become more relevant but I don't think he'll become an impact player here.

I'd at least like to see depth there and someone push him. Remember, he is new to the position. Hopefully he plays it more naturally during his senior year.
Another concern I have at backer is that other than Brockers, we have a small D-line. Quick and strong, but very small. We also generally have smallish linebackers.
I think this will help us game 1 against Oregon. They are fast and small and will be breaking in three new lineman.
But I worry about teams like Bama and Florida (now shifting to pro style). Big o-lines and smash mouth types.

Minter will be fine. Same with Baker
i think Francois is in jeopardy of losing his job. I rarely remember his name being called all season.

Baker is not inexpierienced, and he's good. Him and minter will lead the corps.

I'm sad that Maclin moved to DE. I was hoping he'd be the big presence we need in the middle. I like Barrow and I think Tahj and Muncie will be in the mix somewhere. Also, look for Josh Johns' name to up there somewhere.

With more depth on the DL than at LB, I was a bit disappointed that Maclin moved there. Also it doesn't look like the Tigers will sign any more linebackers in this year's class, unless they get Rasco & he moves there. I would also like to see someone push Francois next season.

We basically went to a 4-2-5 base D because of Francois' ineffectiveness and Tyrann's playmaking. Had to have used about 80% of the time in the Cotton Bowl

Baker is a stud. Minter has all of the tools. But everyone else is a question mark.
Hey, CJ, pay attention.
