Of Les Miles' 62 wins at LSU, 12 have been against coaches who have won a national title.

Chizik, Coker, Fullmer (2), Meyer (3), Saban (2), Spurrier (2), Tressel.

Does any other coach have a similar winning percentage?

14-10 in sec regular season play for miles the last 3 years. 21-3 for saban in that same period. does miles have a similar record in that time?

No doubt his track record is great. Great seasons, great games, followed by some boneheaded decisions.

I'm pulling for him to stay, but he has made his share of bad decisions.

Which is my point. I prefer great records, and great games, even with an occasional Alphonse & Gaston fiasco.

Who knows what a new coach would bring to the table?

A different coach would have fewer 'what was he thinking?' moments. But would he produce great recruiting and quality teams like under Miles?

I didn't think like this in October, but I am glad he is staying.

I like you picked the perfect amount of time and the right subset of games to prove your point. Any other wouldn't be so good.

And everybody that wants to discount Miles OOC record like it doesn't matter act like they wouldn't be pissed if he LOST all those OOC games that he is like 30-1 in

Just for your information:

Including his rebuilding year in 2007, Saban at Bama in the SEC regular season:
25-7

Miles in that same time including his SEC/NC title year:
20-12

One coach had a juggernaut. The other took a rebuilding project.

Saban also has never had a losing record in the SEC his entire career. Miles has.

Chizik was not a NC coach when Miles beat him

He's also counting Spurrier twice who won his NC at UF in 1996 (11 years before Miles even coached against him the first time) and Fulmer twice who won his only NC in 1998 (8 years before Les actually beat him the first time.

That is why these stats are stupid.

yeah, and miles has defeated saban twice. this season miles ended with a better record. miles is supposed to be stupid and saban is supposed to be a genius. that means miles should get killed every time they play. and it's not like bama is "down".

furthermore, miles can hang with saban in recruiting, hiring assistants and keeping the program out of trouble.

some negatiger please explain how all this is possible. i know, lsu recruits and coaches itself.

You are correct. But we all wanted him to kick Perrilloux off the team didnt we? We dont want a program like Florida or Michigan with Rich Rod with all the violations. The guy had 2 average seasons out of 6 and he rebounded this year and people are still being hard on him. He wins, may not be pretty, but he knows how to coach these players to play hard for him. He loves his players and his players love him.
