I really think the powers that be should have given Rich Rod another year or two before they canned him. He was hired so late in the game that he really only had 2 recruiting years. The AD should have helped find the very best defensive staff they could find and fired this past seasons DC. We had to do that for Miles in 2008 because out D was just awful. If Rich Rod had gotten a good DC in there and another recruiting class or two, I think he would have kicked off on Ohio State, Michigan State, etc.

YOu have seen folks say our secondary had a ton of freshmen. That is bad enough, but both our starting corners were on IR as well.

I doubt anyone makes our D look "good" this yr, but under Greg Robinson they were showing no/little improvement.

Spart was loaded with Seniors this yr. Dant gets no more than 8 wins next season IMO. Our O was driving on OSU in first qtr. A young squad, that should of gotten better next season.

There is reason to think with a good DC, things could of started going better.

Then there is all the negative. It was like one nightmare after another since RR arrived. In a lot of ways it is nice to get a change of scenery.

RR is a damn great coach. The fit just didnt work out. If he goes on to win a BCSNC somewhere else someday it wont surprise me.

IMO he would be great in the B12....an offense first league.

*EDIT* Our O didnt do much against TUOS once D-Rob left game early.
