Anyone know of a good diner, drive-in or dive in Las Vegas?

My wife and I are going to Vegas next week. She really wants to find a couple of little mom and pop joints. We found one in Boulder City which we are planning on going to when we see the Hoover Dam but I would like to know if anyone else has some places they like to go.

24 hour cafe at the Palms. It's right on the left when you walk in from the garage. It's not mom and pop, but the food is good, and it isn't overpriced like everything else is. Been to Vegas twice, and the 2nd time we made a point to go back.

Ellis Island Casino has some of the best deals in the city... if I was trying to save $$, I could literally eat every meal there.

The Peppermill on the strip by Riviera is awesome for breakfast. It's a all night diner type place. I saw it on gameday a few years ago and now its a must.

Wife and I went to a place called Blueberry Hill or something. Had Blueberry in the title. They must have had crack in those pancakes. I was stone cold sober and those were the best pancakes I will EVER have. I may possibly find some that tie one day, but none can be better.
I believe the place was a chain, or at least a local Vegas chain with about 3 locations.

Blueberry is a small local chain. It like Egg & I, Sunshine Cafe, etc.. are very good and give huge portion..otherwise they'd go broke fast competing vs the hotel buffet options.
Between places like Blueberry, the buffets, free booze,etc..every person without kids I've ever known in LV..keeps an empty fridge..eats out daily.

Coffee Cup is overpriced and over-rated. Mel's Diner is just a few doors down and IMO is much better for the money. You'll also likely avoid a long wait, as CC can be hugely crowded, especially on weekends. Also, they close at 2PM, so if you don't get there early, you miss out.
Some friends in BC just opened a new place called Le Sagittaire. If you're going to BC from Vegas, it's in a little strip mall on the left side of the road just as you're getting into town. Excellent food, you'll be glad that you stopped in.

It depends on how far off the strip you are willing to go. My wife and I ate here for breakfast on our way out of Vegas going north up to Mammoth Lakes.
Jamms Restaurant
The breakfast was solid, but they are know for their bread. Lots of homemade bread options.
Also, if you are willing to not just be on the strip. I highly recommend this place.
Settebello Pizzeria Napoletana
It is one of the 20 or so pizza places in the country certified to serve authentic Vera Pizza Nepoletano.

I have been to Ellis Island and loved it, was really the only place I won any money. We played single deck black jack while we waited for our $5.99 steak and potatoe deal. I won like $50 bucks.
I will try some of the other spots listed like the pepper mill and mels, has anyone ever been to Sushi Twister?
