more often than not, gets overlooked when it comes to BR burger threads on this board?
I know Mugshot's, Dearmans, Tramonte's and Riverside patty make quality burgers, but J. Alexander's has a great burger as well. Is this due to the stigma we place on chain restaurants?

Some people live beyond burgers and chicken wings.

I think it's because most people don't opt for J's as a destination restaurant for a "hamburger experience".

If I'm going to J. Alexanders, I'm not getting a burger. But I have no doubt that it's awesome, FWIW.

Copeland's burger should get more recognition than it does as well. it's very good. probably has the same problem as J. Alexander's.. nobody goes there for the burger.

JA's has a great burger with that tillimook cheddar and their maytag bleu cheese coleslaw was a killer:) Guess it just appeals to us older OT'ers one of which I am proud to be !!!

It is good, it's the same as capital city grill.

Copelands has a great burger. As does bonefish grill. People don't go for burgers though.

J Alexanders does everything on the entire menu very well to downright excellent. Extremely underrated restaurant, and huge portions a a fair price.

I don't know that it's underrated - it seems to be very well liked on this board and you rarely see anything but praise for it.
Believe it or not, there are some people on this board who don't like chains. Hard to believe, I know, but it's true.
