No way Michigan risks losing face like that.
You do know that not many people are going to actually know about using flightaware to track the plane that the Michigan AD is on right? Harbaugh was much more high profile and they survived that, including other coaches telling them no. He may or may not go, but it isn't like this is some special case with them actually meeting with him.

I think they had to know Harbaugh was a longshot from the outset.
The word is out nationally that CLM is going to "talk" to UM--Miles, the guy who has said Michigan was his "dream" job.
If Miles turns them down, UM will indeed lose face.
... which is why I have to conclude it's already a done deal for that Lear to be touching down again in BTR.
I hope I'm wrong.
