Mamando from Chalmette just shed one last tear.

"And Aaron Brooks, hits Dante Stallpepper, in the back the endzone, FOR SIX DOLLARS OFF YOUR MONDAY PIZZAR ORDER!!!"

Does anyone recall the stories Buddy told about his days covering the Saints? Mecom used to let him fly on the team plane to away games, but would kick him off if he wrote anything too bad about them. For one particular game, Mecom would not allow Buddy on the team plane to get back home and Buddy had taped a segment which needed to get to the station to air later that night. Having no other way to get the tape back on time, he gave it to one of the cheerleaders to "smuggle" it back to the station for him.

It's snowing in Ny and I told everyone to come in casual. I have my Saints Jersey on. I think about all the old time Saints fans who would have loved all this. Hap Glaudi too

Doesn't anybody else remember the time Renaldo Turnbull threatened him on the air? It was during Turnbull's weekly WWL show and Buddy was hosting. I've brought this up several times but I''m always the only one who recalls it...

Buddy D was roasted at the Lakefront Arena in 2003. Bobby Hebert was one of the roasters. When Bobby retired, he was a sportscaster in Atlanta for awhile. People were ragging on Buddy D about how hard it was to understand him, and Bobby told the story about how he was the "Buddy D of Atlanta" because of his cajun accent.

I just called a Nursing Home near Buffalo at work. They told me the Director's name was Hee bert. I asked them to spell it (Hebert) I laughed and said to me thats Ay bear. I would never ever say Heebert.

Long ago when Jim Henderson replaced Hap on WWL tv, there actually were protests in front of the station. Hap was then moved exclusively to WWL radio. One day, he was doing a news segment about the summer Olympics and a drug scandal regarding Eastern European swimmers. He stumbled for at least 30 secs over the name of the drug, and finally blurted out - testaroni (made it sound like pepperoni). The other newscaster interrupted and said: "Hap, I believe that its called testosterone." Hap, then goes on and says: "Yeah, testaroni. That's what I said."

I can recall Hap Glaudi's "Hap's Point After" after Saints games. He used to tell some callers "you're full of canal water" when he thought they were full of shite.
