But he only answered half the question, completely ignored the important part.

Paraphrased.

"I heard on TV yesterday Jessy Palmer said you would take the Michigan job in a second this time, and that you didn't fit well as a Cajun"

Talked about fitting well here and the passion of the fans, didn't answer the Michigan part of the question AT ALL.

Nor did he said that he wouldn't take the Michigan job, or that he would be at LSU next year.

Read into it what you will, I'm just relaying what he said because the OP chose to just post half of his response.

He definitely has interest in the job. His lack of complete responses when asked about it at several press conferences shows that he has either been contacted or is interested IMO. He has been using the "lawyer talk" denial methods.

I may be reading too much into it, but his lack of answers says more to me than whatever half answers he is spitting out.

He's certainly leaving the door open.

Then, if he decides not to take the job, or they don't offer it (which I cannot imagine), he can come out and say unequivocally 'I love LSU and will be the coach at LSU for as long as they'll have me', rah rah bullshite.

He's not as stupid as he sounds when he talks or behaves on the field. I am thinking more and more that he's probably heading north. Good for him. He's done a fine job here as far as recruiting and building for the future, and if he goes, our next coach will be cocked and ready to compete for a championshijp next year.

Exactly. He is leaving the door open for himself. He is choosing his words wisely, and for good reason. Like people have said on here before, coaches have said much more definite statements claiming they're staying only to jet after the season ends.

He may very well want the Michigan job but I am not so sure they want him.

He's not going to answer any question until interviewing with UM. Why say he's not taking the job or interested or not before even talking to them.

I was by no means insinuating anything. Just felt the entire question and answer should be posted.

Is anyone out there fed up with political answers from politicians already ? Why the frick can't Les Miles keep it real with this bullshite. Man up and say.."look..I am interested in talking with U of Michigan if they want to talk with me ". Being sly and covert is not being honest with the fans or LSU. If Alleva has to pull the trigger to hire a new coach Les Miles needs to grow a pair and not try to sabanize us and leave us hanging.

I am tired of double speak and secrecy. Miles does NOT deserve to leverage LSU for more money. MOFO gets paid enough..thank you. Be a man Les and answer the fricking questions directly. Lying to us makes you look like you don't give a shite anyway. 80 % of fans know you got people in talks with U of M..so man up and admitt it.

You would think people who love LSU enough to be listening to a coach's show and taking the time to call would be more knowledgeable than the people who call with flat our retarded questions. It's almost as if they have no clue about anything LSU related.
