Wrong again! It was actually Mike Bell that started last season off hot running the ball.

Pierre was hurt all preseason & missed the first two games. It was Bell who gained over 100 yards in the first two games of the season. Once Pierre got back against Buffalo, they shared the duties along with Reggie Bush.

Let's face it, there is a possibility that neither Thomas or Bush will be back next year. We heard rumors that Thomas wanted Stephen Jackson money this last Summer. If Thomas & his agent continue to want that type of contract, I think Payton & Loomis let Thomas walk.

Samething goes for Reggie Bush. If he refuses to resign for less, then he walks. Hamilton isn't guaranteed a spot either. Nobody is sure what Hamilton actually brings to the table because he's gotten so few snaps & will be coming off of knee surgery. Its possible he won't be back to full speed until midseason.

There's a high chance the Saints backfield is totally revamped next season. Ivory is the only solid for sure thing heading into next season. Payton & Loomis could let Bush & Thomas both walk & pick up a back like DeAngelo Williams in free agency plus pick up another back later in the draft. Of course how the Saints do in the playoffs will affect what they can do in free agency especially if they have to deal with the final four rule again.
