They obviously haven't won 2 titles like Meyer, but they are highly respected as head coachs. Muschamp is highly respected as a DC. Just IMO.

I understand your point, as they've all had HC experience. I do mention this though, most of these guys started as coordinators and then made the jump.

Stoops made the jump to OU straight from a DC and was quite successful. Same goes for Petrino at UL, Pelini at Nebraska, etc.

I think they were looking more long term. Get a young, up and coming guy that will be there a while and Muschamp fit that to a tee and comes from a pedigree.

Mafia- you are right. The players were are losing are key players, BUT we still have alot of talent on both sides of the ball that has yet to be seen. New starters on Defense next year, and Offensively talent that's on the field but doesn't have the opportunity to make plays because they have nobody to get them the ball. If the offense can be productive in getting the ball into our talented receivers and backs hands...... Then that's going to help out the younger defense a ton.
Look at Arkansas for example, I'm not saying next years offense will be as good as Arkansas', but the Arkansas defense(who isn't that great) can take chances and gamble with blitzes because their offense will pick them up. If our offense can be productive, I believe we will be able to do the same, setting up for a very successful year.
