Nope, lower your expectations. You should have seen it in the theater. At least then you would have been entertained by the pseudo-intellectuals. Even with that, I almost fell asleep in the theater.

Prepare to have 2 hrs of your life taken from you with no benefit to show for it.

I understand what you're saying, as you wanted to be more intellectually challenged, and I hear many people say this. But you also hear many people say it's too complicated. This is where I think Nolan succeeded in what he was doing. He made a blockbuster hit, so he had to appeal to the masses by dumbing it down, yet he still made it thought provoking enough to satisfy movie critics (apparently not you though).

Yeah the praise for this movie . . . especially the attempts to read some sort of deep meaning into it . . . is ridiculous. A very well done technical achievement, but that's about it.

Please explain what you mean by these two sentences. Either you dont know what the term intellectual means especially when used in conjunction with the prefix pseudo, or you need to explain a little better how that is better conveyed on a bigger screen with surround sound.
