Why Mettenberger is a huge pickup for us

1865 yards, 7 TD, 10 INT @ QB = Still a 10-2 season for us...and Mettenberger is a HUGE talent upgrade over what we have while we will be returning A LOT of guys from this year's team.
If Mettenberger can grasp the offense this spring we could finally have a legit QB again and be a NC threat immediately. We return almost all of the offense he needs around him to be successful and while we replace some key defensive players we return the bulk of the defense and Chavis has shown he can handle a legit defense here in B.R. both years he's been here.
Toliver and Barksdale are the only losses on offense as as shown by this year Toliver never panned out to be an elite WR and seems replaceable and while Barksdale was a pretty good pass blocker he was never much of a run mauler we could stand to use like Faulk could be.
The offense next year has every weapon at Mettenberger's disposal to be an elite offense. He has a go-to WR in Randle, he has an all-around game breaker in Shepard, he has a couple big time experienced RBs in Ridley and Ford, he has an experienced deep OL and he has an experienced TE corps in Peterson, Clement and Joseph...almost comes down to how well Crowton can put this all together, hopefullly we see shades of 2007 all over again.

OK, now that EVERYBODY has piled onto Trinco, is it safe to say that your expectations for next year just went to 12-0, at worst, 11-1?

No he isn't. What are you looking at. Junior college stat sheets? Just watch him play that game on Sunday, then report back what you see.
Jordan Jefferson's job is very safe.
