anyone of them care to tell me why he should stay when a triple option qb has more passing td's than both our quarterbacks combined?
nesbitt stats
7 tds from a guy that played in less games compared to our 6 from jj and lee. if we throw in ware we tie up nesbitts numbers. yep gary should get another year

crowton never throws the deep ball unless it's a must. he avoids play actions/tricky motions. his weak side options and silly wr screen passes don't cut it in the SEC. Pretty much everytime LSU lines up in formation, i know exactly what play they're going to run

yes they do. uncommon cents is supporting jj and i have seen others.
no matter how they slice this id like to know how having a triple option qb out sling our qbs is ok.

I'm not a Crowton fan, although perhaps not as negative about him as some, but the one reason I would give for keeping him has already been shot down by Crowton himself.
It always seems to take a team at least a year to acclimate to a new OC and I would hate to waste next year when the schedule sets up pretty nicely for us. BUT! In 2007 GC was our brand new OC and we struggled a lot with lining up and learning the formations, but we still managed a pretty good offensive performance and won the NC, so from that standpoint I guess I really can't give a concrete reason to keep him given the last two years performance.

keeping a guy that finishes near the bottom of offense in the sec 2 years in a row just because we dont want to learn a new o isn't a good enough reason to keep him.

BT = crowton cheerleader
Posted on 12/6/10 at 5:14 pm to TheDoc
they dont seem to want to touch this stat.
Posted on 12/6/10 at 5:16 pm to heartbreakTiger
That's because BT hates JJ and it couldn't be Crowtons fault for such shitty playcalling.

id just like to see a crowton defender defend this stat.

he seems to be like every other ignorant fan. mauk, flynn would of had terrible numbers in crowtons system as well. i can see his offense scheme working, but not in a conference where the LBs run 4.6s and the defensive ends are faster than your QB. put JJ even in Fisher's scheme and people would compare him to campbell from au

First, let's hear from these Lou Tepper fans.

Now posts like this is where I sometimes catch myself in a position of defending Crowton. You're wrong on so many levels.
I understand that not everyone is going to be a junky like me and break down every game film 5 or 6 times, but you shouldn't make such an inaccurate post. I mean flame Crowton if you want, but don't try to make a critical strategic analysis if you don't have the chops. Just stick to the basic, "well we really sucked on offense the last two seasons", you'll get no argument from me on that.
All your assertions are flawed, Crowtons got his weaknesses, but the ones you mentioned aren't them.

because Leslie is the problem

Crowton = terrible
JJ = confused and medicore
JL = Badly coached with bad habits

Our offense was actually better this year in sec play than it was in 08. Not that that means he should stay, but we did improve as the season went on.

sadly doc jj is below average. he has worse stats than reggie ball

ok so crowton isn't a fan of running short field options? he likes to throw it deep? his short WR screen passes work? do you like his obvious HB wing pass? or what about teaching ONE of our QBs to pump fake every now and then? and i definitely don't see enough play action(other than shotgun formation). i know they're many of other weaknesses, explain to me how i'm wrong. not trying to be offensive or a brat, just want you're opinion if you're going to call me out.
