I'm glad LSU is going to the cotton bowl. I think the turf will create a huge mismatch in our favor with our team speed. I also think PP7 will have a game very similar to the UNC game. LSU by 14+

I think the fact that the team gets to rest for a month means the defense will have their best game of the year. They will be well rested and back to full-on maniac mode.

The speed thing is false. Oregon has terrific team speed. But I think our defense will be a major factor being that they have time to heal any bumps and bruises and prepare for Oregon's offense.

Bowl game, not 2011 home opener.
I know it's hard because it's the same stadium...

Well in that case with a defense with time to rest, they will be more than what aTm can handle. aTm is not ready for the type of physicality we can bring to the game.

Of course this is correct. Nebraska and OU have cupcakes up front on their DL. Where are you getting your shrooms this time of year?

I don't think OU's defense is that great, but Nebraska's defense is badass.

I grow them myself.

aTm is not going to be ready for our defense. OU and Neb have good defense but they don't have the same speed or depth.

So you think Chavis D> Pelini D? Interesting.

OU's defense is not even close to LSU's.

I'm not saying Chavis better than Pelini or visa versa. I'm just saying that they aren't as deep as our's.

On the defensive side of the ball it isn't. Offensive, very much so.

I think Pelinis scheme is better but LSu's players are better. So LSUs D > Nebs D

Nebraska's Defense is badass, that's why they held A&m to only 3 field goals. Our defense will dominate a&m's offense. The only question will be can our offense take advantage of it.

I'm not. As far as the actual game, it's a crappy matchup with an 18th ranked also-ran. We have virtually nothing to gain by winning and a ton to lose by losing. An 11-1, big 10 co-champ? Yeah, that I can get up for.

I disagree that the mismatch in speed is a huge one. I think LSU has a slight edge but aTm has SEC speed at many positions. I do think the Tiger defensive line can get to their QB's which will be key to keep the defensive backfield from having to cover beyond 3 seconds. I also agree that LSU has a substancial edge in special teams and PP could go off if everyone performs well. The Aggies have the edge at QB and not much else but as we know the QB play tends to spread out over the rest of the offense, be it good or bad. I'll be happy with any victory. This team defeated the Big12 champs and runnerup Nebraska. Very talented IMO.

We share the same conference record. We beat both Big XII title game representatives in regular season play. The team that lost three in a row early in the year is no more. Our OL has come together, Gray is tearing it up, and Tannehill has managed to not give games away.

If we're an also ran, then you are as well.
