Cap 1 Bowl hype vs Cotton Bowl hype..

Folks are upset because ESPN will hype the hell out of the Cap 1 Bowl and give Alabama more exposure...
do you not realize that since the Cotton Bowl is Fox's ONLY Bowl that Fox will give that Cotton Bowl exposure every Sunday during their NFL coverage??
Cap 1 is one of three games that day, Cotton Bowl is the only game in town on Friday in primetime....

i watched ole miss in the cotton last year, and i must admit that it looked like a bcs atmosphere.

wait...you mean that you watched the Cap One Bowl and that abortion of a playing surface and DIDN'T get the feeling that it was the most prestigious non BCS Bowl?

LSU in Cotton and Bama in the Cap One are better for both teams...PLUS, each team's opponent has a story to go with it. It's all good

6 actually, with 4 going on the same time as the Cap One. Plus it starts at noon or earlier for 3/4 of the country, on they morning after New Year's Eve.

FWIW I am from Central and Wildcat stadium holds out better in the rain than the "citrus bowl" or w/e the hell the cap one bowl is played.

If you read the rant long enough the people here will have you believe Dallas > Maui and the Cotton Bowl 1 > BCS title game

Not anymore. Citrus Bowl Stadium got a new artificial surface in the spring/summer.
