The Hogs beat us.
The BCS system is under enough pressure as it is.
If the BCS started to obviously manipulate the system and go outside the BCS rankings and start to invite people in a manner that does not follow the rules they have in place there would be a intense public outcry and the BCS would collapse.

The Sugar Bowl can rightfully pick any team in the top 12 of the BCS and has two teams from the SEC that fit that criteria. They can rightfully choose LSU or Arkansas based on the BCS rules.

I don't think they will but they would certainly be within their right to choose LSU if they thought LSU was better for the Bowl for any reason.
