Fellow Tiger Fans, let's root for Nebraska, this way we move up to #9 in BCS. With only a 2 slot difference with Arkansas, it becomes a "beauty contest" for the bowls? LSU is the "most" watched college football program this year. On a cumulative basis, the fact that practically are all are games are nationally televised, we attract more eyeballs and ratings than any other team in college football. The Les Miles' interviews, the unpredictability of our team. We are the most exciting team to watch in college football. (outside of the 2 playing for MNC). No reason our team can't win a "beauty" contest vs Arkansas for at large berth. They don't care about on field, head to head, with the same record it's about "ratings" and "money". Don't count us out

It would make me happy, but I don't think it will happen. F Crowton.

I would actually be pissed if they selected us over Arkansas. I don't want the fricking Notre Dame treatment.

lsu had its shot yesterday and couldn't get it done. arkansas is the better team and deserves the bid.
there should be no lobbying or whining. arkansas fans will go & fill up the hotels, eateries, etc.. Most LSU fans would only go for the day.

While I agree, it will not anger me in the least if the Sugar takes Arky as is expected. The Hogs deserve it.

very good point, Let's hope Alleva makes the drive to New Orleans to lobby to the Sugar Bowl committee.

there is a zero percent chance that any bowl would take lsu over arkansas. zero.

Someone from another thread already said that the Sugar Bowl Commission was going to take the winner of the LSU/Arky game.

Let's hope the Cotton Bowl make an arragement so the Sugar takes LSU and Cotton takes Arky.

Sugar Bowl would cater to the Louisiana fanbase and Arkansas has serious tie ins with the Cotton Bowl, they play there every year against A&M and lets not forget Jerry Jone's pull... after all, it is his house.

Arkansas is going over us. Deal with it.

They haven't been to the Sugar Bowl in umpteen years. LSU was there just 3 years ago.

LSU just played tOSU in the Sugar 3 years ago. They don't want a replay of that game.

Money-wise, Arkansas makes more sense for the Sugar Bowl.

It's not happening, we're going to Cap-One or Cotton. Deal with it.

Fully agree. The bottom line is $$$$ Arky deserves it.

arkansas will sell out their allotment of tickets in about an hour of being formally invited.

This is a joke, right? LSU could fill the Dome up by themselves if they were given the opportunity.

That was not the Sugar.

UGA played in the Sugar that year.

What we played in was an extra BCS game under it's latest format that was the National title game that continued the 4 year rotation of where to play the title game under the old BCS format.
