Auburn - loses 18 starters, incl. Cam
Alabama - loses approx. 7 starters, incl. McElroy + Julio
Arkansas - loses 8 starters, incl. Mallett, 3/5 OL
LSU - loses 6 starters, incl. PP, Nevis, + Sheppard

Adjusted 2011 SEC Teams (in order of finish)

LSU - only top SECw team to return a quarterback
Arkansas - Wilson showed flashes of greatness and Davis will carry the team
Alabama - still has Ingram and Richardson and a stout D
Miss. State - program on the way up, will likely lose only to the three teams ahead of them
Auburn - the bottom falls out, even without sanctions, they're starting from scratch
Mississippi - They were bad this year. Without a legitimate QB, they'll get worse.

arkansas likely to be picked to win the west, maybe even win the SEC. mallet's backup is good. I like our chances of beating them since we get them at home. our schedule is very favorable. If we can beat Oregon, going undefeated wouldnt surprise me.

Jefferson has come on strong in games against Auburn, Alabama, Ole Miss, and Arkansas. Can't really place the blame for any of the struggles in those games on him.

Keep in mind this was against the Auburn secondary. He could very well end up Brantley 2.0.

true, but the potential is there. regardless of how good he is our homefield advantage gives us confidence.

Jefferson's last 4 SEC games...

46/71 625 yards 4 TDs 3 INTs 180 rushing yards

11.5/17.75 156.25 yards, 1.00 TDs, 0.75 INTs, 45 rushing yards

Good, not horrible.

Against 3 of the worst defenses we faced all year. Bama's was the only legit defense and all suck against the pass, yet he only managed to average 156.3 ypg against them.

JJ isn't as bad as many believe, but assuming Crowton and Studs are back, we'll lose to Arky and possibly MSU. Alabama will be a toss up and we play a tougher SEC East schedule next year.

We may end up at 3rd in the west again.

Mallett is only a JR. He will probably go pro but who knows.

Talking to Arkansas fans on Saturday, one said they like Mallet until he speaks. Another said he hopes Mallet declares as a junior.
They like his backup as well as Brandon Mitchell from Amite High School; referred to him as "their Cam Newton."

That is kind of a misleading statement.

LSU is tied with the second best record overall in the SEC. I also don't know if you should really use tiebreakers when they don't mean anything.

Alabama only loses 4 Sr starters, you can add Julio, Trent, & Dareus making it 7 though. Barron will likely be returning.

2 of those starters lost for Arkansas is not the big.

Terrell Williams is the backup for Anthony Leon and had 11 tackles yesterday.

Broadway is already out. He was injured and is out for the season.

So we're basically only losing 6 starters.

The conference game I'm most worried about next year is at Miss. St. They are definitely a program o the rise.
