My Indoor team was looking to kick it around somewhere tomorrow evening, but it gets dark so early now, is there anywhere in BR with decent lighting we could practice?

You might try Independence Park, next to the Goodwood library. However, I don't know if they will have the lights on without scheduling ahead of time.

Yeah I live pretty close to Burbank park but I thought I read something a while back that said they were private now? Maybe that was only for the big tourney that they held a few months back?

hmm, weird. I mean, it's part of BREC, so I thought it was an unspoken rule that you could use the facilities as long as you were respectful of the pitch and all that jazz. But it's been 2 years since I was at LSU, so maybe that's changed.

Baton Rouge Soccer Club = BRSC This is the competitive division of BRSA. These teams are all Premier or Division 1 "select" teams. This is the group that travels to tournaments across the region

They do. Cost per kid depending on the team and D1 or Premier is $500-$1500 plus other expenses such as uniforms, training gear, and travel expenses. Look for the BRSC logo and the BRSA website and you can find the financial cost in there.

Since we are talking about BRSA... Has anyone here participate in any co-ed leagues recently? I was on Sag Rods back in Spring 08.

I remember the time when they tried to close it to the public. I think they had tournaments going on at that time, but in the times I have gone recently, it has been open to the public.
